Finally comes the week that frightens all of English and Literature students in Universitas Negeri Malang: Exam week. Yaaay J

Exam week is those kind of rough times in your life that makes your heart weaken, and your stomach would be filled with butterflies.

Assignments and papers are summoned looking to shut your mind down like those ghosts and zombies that tried to hunt Rini down in Pengabdi Setan. The problem is, you can’t really avoid these 'ghosts and zombies' since they come regularly every semester. The good thing is, there is an ultimate spell for you  to kill these ghosts, here’s the spell : no pain no gain.

Personally, I am that type of student that always try to work those assignments in comfort zone, today I am going to recommend you one of my favourite comfort zone: Urban Cafe Malang. It is very close to UM, precisely at Jl. Mayjend. Panjaitan No.172, Penanggungan, Kec. Klojen, Malang, East Java.

Urban cafe is designed as a coffee shop with workspace in it, perfect for you guys who want to study or doing your project, especially if you guys are bored with studying in your home or your rented 3x3 room.

When you enter the bar to order your desired menu, you’ll feel the sense of comfort right away, judging from the way the cashier greets at you while she ask what would you want to order.

The architectural design of the cafe is Industrial, looks minimalistic and the layout is probably what you can probably imagine already : arranged seats, with indoor and outdoor, also sharing room or meeting room. Urban cafe has a wifi that can download up to 100 mbps, a really fast connection if you ask me, if you want to download huge files for your study or even dramas on the internet, you can download, sometimes illegally.

The menus are quite cheap, ranging from Rp. 4.000 - Rp. 23.000, which is just fine with the facilities and also the comfort that you can get in this cafe. Personally, I recommend to order iced americano, a cold bitter coffee with a hint of sweetness, just like unrequited love.

Last but not least, despite the cheap price, comfortable space, and especially its internet speed... I think the place is a bit too noisy, being located in Mayjend. Panjaitan, the street is just always crowded and when unruly drivers make a mess while they’re driving, you’ll see a bunch of horn parades going on. Yes, I said the cafe is comfortable because I always use my headphone and just swim right away in my own world, muffling the horn parade by listening to some Led Zeppelin and Via Vallen. It is fine when a group of costumer who want to spend time nongkrong  in this cafe, but those of you who come alone, I suggest to bring your headphones, or earphones.

If I have to rate this cafe from 1-10, personally I’ll give it 3.5/4, a pretty good GPA if you ask me.  A simple space for you to spend your time comfortably, being productive or not.
